Identity theft

So I went shopping yesterday for new shoes. The upside I got a great pair of shoes. Downside my purse was stolen along with everything in it. My credit cards, bank info, social security card, birth certificate, my ID, my library card you name it. :-( They even got all the cash that was in there. I had to go downtown to file a police report. There is nothing they can do. It literally made me sick. I’ve spent the entire day on the phone with credit card companies. I can’t believe how hateful some people can be for money. Now I have to start from scratch. Well, I have a ton of work to catch up on.

Yikes! I’ve never had my purse stolen (thank the gods), but I have had domains stolen and someone once hacked my bank account and started writing themselves checks – which the bank honored!

They weren’t even signed, they were printed out and the signature name was spelled wrong! Of course, when it came to setting things right the bank treated my sister and I like criminals (happened to more than one of their clients because of their online banking system’s security). Argh!

I hope it all turns out okay, I’m sure it will if you got in contact with your cc companies – the identification is a little trickier if you don’t have copies. :(
