Good morning! Long time, no post! I haven’t really had any time to post anything here. I’ll be back in full force in a month. I do miss all of my online friends. 
I have been noticing something and need to vent about it.
[INSERT RANT HERE] LOL: First of all how dumb is it to charge $1 or $2 per pic on an image account that you don’t even own!?!? I have stopped buying pictures or accounts. It’s truly not worth it. A week after I pay the account dies and I’m stuck without the money and times aren’t exactly easy right now anyway. What happened to helping each other? I really miss the “old” days! No one even offers to help. 7 years ago when I started my very first website people sent in pics ALL of the time. Now it rarely, if ever happens. People are so rude about it. I’m just floored with how much has changed. I’m starting to wonder if people are just making fansites to be the best so-and-so fansite out there. IT’S NOT A COMPETITION. It should be about your love and admiration for the celeb. It had been awhile since I had to rant. Ahh, that’s enough!
On to the next thing! I’m so EXCITED about the holidays this year! I get to decorate my Christmas tree for the first time in my new house. Even though I won’t be home until the 17th of December. It will be special! Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I’m so happy I get to spend time with my nieces and family for Thanksgiving. Then, I will go home and be with my boyfriend and Grandma for Christmas! Yes, my kitties and puppy too!
Have to go make breakfast!!! I’ll post again much sooner this time!

I think it’s insane to charge money for something you don’t even own. If agencies knew that… god, I don’t even want to know what happens. I’d always help out friends for free and if I like a celeb I donate something to those sites as well. I’d never charge for an account or pictures! Trading is absolutely fine in my eyes, if you give something you’d like something back, understandable. But the way it is now, I hate it. November 24th, 2009 at 9:14 am I was randomly clicking around and found your site through a site you designed, I think. I was actually thinking something similar to what you wrote. I used to have the domain/blog, fanlistings, fansites, the whole collection. I’d started my very first fansite 9 years ago (Hayden Christensen, haha) and for the 4 years I had it, it was my pet project. I think at that time, the fansite thing was still kind of new and it was just so fun meeting other people and whatnot. Back then, everyone was so generous with time, resources, etc. Now they all seem so impersonal and just… “look at the ridiculously large photo gallery!” Anyway, you have a great site here. The layout is beautiful! November 24th, 2009 at 7:10 pm I agree 100% about the accounts. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that people charge others for photos and some even make you pay an unbelievably ridiculous amount of money just for a couple photos. If I see a site that doesn’t have the latest photos or something, I always send them an email donating things. I donate so much it’s not even funny. lol. But yeah, I don’t waste my timing paying anymore b/c accounts die way too fast and money isn’t something that comes easily for me anymore. Leave a Reply |
